Empowering Tip: Choose a brand new ending

Carl Bard, a Scottish writer and theologian, says, “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”

You of course can’t go back and change things – for instance, how you were born, when you were worn. But you can change what happens in your future – every decision you make puts you on a new path that puts you in a different place in your life.

You can change friend groups, how you react with friends, how you are with them, how you respond when you’re with your family … hobbies … sports you play … the way you eat, how little or how much you exercise …

You can change anything in your life, and all of that will take you on a different path. So if you’re not happy with where you are, right now, make a brand-new ending. Don’t accept that you are not going to be happy in your life – choose to change to a path that will make you happy.
