This week’s quote is from Socrates, a Greek philosopher who was born almost 2,500 years ago – that’s right, 2,500! He was really amazing and has said all kinds of great things. But for today, the quote I’m going to talk about is, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
This is really inspirational – think about it. If you spend all your energy on resisting change, thinking things are going to be awful, you’ll have a much harder transition. But, if instead you focus on finding the positives in what’s happening, on looking for what can make that change easier to accept, it’ll be more fun and an easier process than if you resist.
That’s it – pretty simple, but pretty deep, and definitely food for thought.
