Empowering Tip: Find the good in yourself

This week’s quote is from Dr. Wayne Dyer, a self-help author and motivational speaker. He says, “Initiate a habit of choosing thoughts and ideas that support feeling good and powerful, and that elevate you to a higher level of consciousness.”

This is, in my opinion, very zen: find your inner self, what makes you tick. If you think negatively, you’ll be impacted in negative ways. You won’t feel as self-confident, or be as happy. That’s because you’re focusing on the negative, and it becomes a snowball.

Instead, try to be positive. Choose thoughts & ideas that make you feel good – find one thing each day that went really well; or look in the mirror and say, “Wow, I look really good today;” or look at your friends and realize you have great friends. You need to find those little things that make you feel great, that make you feel like you can conquer the world.

They’ll end up elevating you to a higher level of consciousness: you’ll have bigger & better thoughts, you’ll be more positive, you’ll see the world in a different light. And that, in my opinion, is the ultimate goal. I hope you guys agree.

Start thinking positively – I know it’s hard in today’s society, where it’s easy to find what you think are the flaws in yourself, and it’s harder to find the goodness.

But who doesn’t like a challenge? So go, and find the good in yourself!
