Empowering Tip: Let go of yesterday’s junk

This week’s quote is from Louise Smith, a NASCAR racer known as “the first lady of racing” – so she sure knows about overcoming obstacles and finding success! She said, “You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday’s junk.”

Very simple, very straightforward – you can’t move along to the present and the future if you’re stuck in the past. This could mean holding on to people, or things, or memories that keep you attached to what’s behind you … you’ll never be able to continue on with your life, to become who you want to be or do what you want to do, if you’re stuck in the past.

So don’t hold on to yesterday’s junk, reach for something new, and make new junk – that you can let go of tomorrow!
