Empowering Tip: Stand up for what you believe in

This is another quote from an unknown author, but boy is it a good one: “Don’t be afraid to stand for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone.”

This is kind of obvious, but peer pressure is … not fun. When we’re younger, we say, “We’re never going to do that.” Then, all of a sudden, all of your friends are on one side – and you don’t want to be all alone on the opposing side! What if it means losing your friends, or losing your image?

Peer pressure is not something to be messed with… except, you kind of have to mess with it. In order to beat the pressure, you have to really get down & dirty. I’m not saying you have to do anything bad! I’m just saying you have to stand up for yourself. You have to be willing to stand up on your own – and you never know, there may be others who agree with you, but they’re too afraid to say anything about it.

Standing up for what you believe in takes a lot of bravery, and it’s really respectable. I mean, who doesn’t respect the one person who’s going to go against everybody else?

If you believe in something, you shouldn’t hide it. End of story. Love life, love who you are and what you do.
