Empowering Tip: Take risks to find where you’re going

Today’s quote is from poet E. E. Cummings:  “It takes courage to grow up & become who you really are.”

Yeah, it does!  This is one of those sayings where that other saying, “It’s easier said than done,” definitely applies.  While this quote is easy to understand, actually doing it is a little different.

It’s just hard – there are very few people who know from the start what they want to do – what their calling is, what their passion is.  I have no idea what I want to do with my life, and that’s scary.  And I bet many of you out there are in my same position.  It’s hard, trying to find out what you love, what you want to do.

You have to take risks to get there, and the most courageous thing is trying to find your way when you don’t know where you’re going.  You have to be brave.  I know it’s hard.  It takes a lot of courage, to fight the world to figure out who you are & who you want to be.

But it’s important for your well being, so strive to have that courage.  Otherwise, what’s the point?  If we don’t have a plan, and we don’t enjoy life …?
